New to Google Grants?

We’ll guide you through eligibility, Google for Nonprofits verification, account setup and campaign launches.

Account Suspended or Off-Track?

Has your grant been suspended for dropping below the 5% CTR threshold or other policy violation? We’ll audit your account, fix non-compliance issues and handle reinstatement appeals with Google.

Dormant or Low-Performing Account?

If you applied years ago and have let your account sit idle, we’ll take over, restructure and rebuild your stagnant account to start driving conversions again.

What Is the Google Ad Grant?

Google Ads Grants is a FREE programme run by Google to help UK non-profits and charitable organisations raise awareness of their causes and missions. It gives these businesses up to $10,000 a month in ad spend. Completely free.

If you’re a charity or non-profit, you can use this money to pay for the ads you see at the top of Google’s search results, known as Search Ads. This gives you the chance to get your cause in front of the right people, at the right time.

However, to remain eligible for the grant, you have to meet certain criteria on an ongoing basis… and that’s where we come in!

Why Use a Google Ads Grant Management Agency?

With the amount awarded each month, managing your grant can be overwhelming. We take this work off your hands, freeing you up to focus on what really matters to your organisation.

We’re an official Google Partner, which reflects our depth of experience in managing Google Ads, safeguarding your account against strict compliance rules while ensuring every click actively supports your mission, volunteers and fundraising goals.

How We Help

As a Google Partner agency, we help you stay compliant with Google’s guidelines, whilst maximising the impact of your spend. We take time to understand your organisation and the environment you work in, becoming an extension of your own team. We’ll take on your day-to-day account management, leaving your team to focus on what really matters, and using our extensive experience to drive clicks, conversions and engagement.

Application support

From our eligibility checker through to guiding you through your application, we’re there to help you throughout the whole process. We’ll help you ensure eligibility, handle partner validation and set up your initial account structure correctly – taking you seamlessly from application to live campaigns.

Campaign creation and optimisation

We’ll review your Google Ads account (or set one up for you if you don’t have one!), and create targeted, structured campaigns.

We don’t just leave your campaigns running – we’re constantly monitoring performance and making changes as needed, adding new keywords, editing ad copy and adjusting bids – all to ensure you get the best possible return on your spend.

Maintaining a 5% clickthrough rate

To keep receiving your Google Ads, your ads must maintain at least a 5% clickthrough rate. We’ll write compelling, intent-driven search ads that users can’t help but click on. Whether you’re looking for donations, recruiting volunteers or promoting your next fundraising event, we’ll get your message out to the right users.

Improving Quality Score

Google’s policies state that your keywords must achieve a Quality Score of 3 or higher. You also can’t use single keywords (e.g. “charity” or “donations”). We’ll make sure that every keyword in your account is compliant and relevant, ad copy and ad groups are hyper-targeted, and landing pages are clear and quick to load.

Keeping a fast, secure and user-friendly website

We’re a full-service agency, which means our PPC experts will work with our SEO and web teams to ensure that your website always delivers the best possible experience. We’ll help you make it easy for users to convert, ensure your pages are secure and create content that is useful and informative.

Reporting and analysis

Once your campaigns are up and running, you’ll get regular reports and updates from us. You’ll have your own reporting dashboard, tailored to your organisation’s KPIs, and we’ll schedule regular meetings and calls with you to update you on performance and discuss any changes.

    Google Ads Grant Management FAQs

Not every charity or non-profit organisation is eligible to receive Google’s grant. To check whether yours is, you can use our eligibility checker above. Broadly speaking, you have to fulfil the following criteria:

    • Be registered as a UK charity
    • Have a verified Google for Nonprofits account (sign up here)
    • Agree to the Google Nonprofits Additional Terms of Service
    • You cannot be a government entity, hospital or healthcare organisation, school, university or any other academic institution (Google for Education offers a similar programme for these)
    • Be registered with the Charity Commission (England and Wales), NICC (Northern Ireland) or OSCR (Scotland), or with the HMRC as a tax-exempt charity or church.

To qualify for a grant, you will also need to have a secure, high-quality and functional website, on a domain that you own. Your organisation may be verified without this, but you won’t be able to complete your grant application.

No – in fact, in our experience, it’s often not possible to do this due to bid caps, search volumes, internal resource and various other factors. We’re not here to help you spend all of the money; we’re here to help you make the most of what you do spend, and to ensure it’s driving converting traffic.

Google Ads grants are only eligible for spend on Search Ads campaigns – video ads, display ads and remarketing ads are not eligible.

Once you’ve confirmed your organisation is eligible, you can sign up for a Google for Nonprofits account here. A representative will verify your account (usually within 2-14 business days) and you’ll be informed by email once this is done.

Once verification is complete, log into your Google for Nonprofits account and click on “Get Started” under Google Ad Grants, enter your website URL and watch the welcome video. After you’ve done this, click the checkbox to confirm and then click “Submit activation request”. Your submission will be reviewed and you’ll receive an email with further instructions.

Account suspension due to dropping below the 5% CTR threshold or other policy breaches (quality score, website issues, etc.) is very common. We will audit your account, resolve all non-compliant keywords and ad groups, and file a reinstatement request with Google on your behalf.
